Wiseacre Brewing Moon Biscuits Amber Ale...$10.99 / 6pk 12oz cans
Skip the mall, put on a flannel, grab your CDs from the quad, and take “a voyage to the moon” for this amber ale that will totally take you back to the 90’s (you can pick up your plumeria-scented lotion later). This beer is full of biscuit and honey malt with low-key hops will make you come back for more...not sporadically, we hope! Ask our incognito cellarman if he loves it and he’ll tell you yes where he is and back again “Tonight, Tonight”. Word.THE INSIDE SCOOP
Yes Amber Ales were big in the 90s, but we love the classics at WISEACRE. If Pilsner, ESB, and Belgian Tripel are examples of Old World Classic styles then Amber Ale is certainly in the canon of New World Classic styles as it introduced masses of Americans to beer beyond adjunct light lager. It not only paved the way for the growth of the beer industry as a whole, but also experimentation at current breweries as Amber Ale pushed the boundaries in its own many moons (wink wink) ago. We pay homage to this style in what it means to us personally and what it means to the American Craft Beer industry as a whole by keeping it as true to form as possible.
