Midleton Very Rare Vintage Release 2020....$199.99
Midleton Very Rare 2020 Release, like the year, is one of note. It starts sweet with vanilla and red apple, before the more robust spices, cinnamon and clove with a slice of root ginger, show their presence. There is a polished antique wood contribution from the barrels alongside some light tannins and dark oak.

Midleton Very Rare 2020 release is Brian Nation’s last creation as Master Distiller. A fitting legacy to an iconic Master who now passes the title on to Kevin O’Gorman.  The 2021 release will be the first batch from Kevin O'Gorman

Once a year, Master Distiller, Brian Nation honours Barry’s vision by handpicking the finest and rarest whiskeys available and carefully blends them to create each annual vintage of Midleton Very Rare.Only a select number of casks are deemed of sufficient excellence and rarity to bear the Midleton Very Rare name, making this The Pinnacle of Irish Whiskey. -- importer
