TWCP exclusive Barrel Age Beer updates

Barrel Aged Beer Updates - we have a lot of barrels scheduled to hit this year. Some amazing Barrel Aged imperial stouts from some amazing local breweries

Narrow Gauge Barrel Aged Beer Update: we have three barrels of stout that have been in barrel since January of 2017, still ageing comfortably.  Jeff says they are coming along nicely, but still will be awhile before release.

Logboat Brewing Barrel Aged Beer Update: A few barrels if Imperial Stout that have been in barrel about 9 months. They feel they are ready to be released in the next few months. The plan right now is to bottle them as separate beers. But that could change if they decide to blend the barrels into one beer.

Perennial Barrel Aged Maman Imperial Stout - TWCP Edition - Going to be a two barrel blend (Four Roses and Wild Turkey) that has been aging for an amazing 28 months! "They took awhile to come around (28 months!), but I think you’ll agree it was worth the wait." - Phil Wymore, owner and headbrewer of Perennial. Very exciting though as they are working on the labels now.    It is ready to be bottled!!   This will go through the BRC - at least partially based on Perennial support.

Six Mile Bridge Brewing - we have a number of barrels ageing there right now. Too soon to announce what is going on yet.

Side Project Updates!

Exciting news!
Thank you so much to Cory and Karen King!

Side Project Merci #4

Blending Session with Cory King at Side Project!!

Amazing chance to taste Side Project beers from the BARREL and help to decide the next Merci blend!  Really a very special treat!   We are honored to be able to get this beer and help do the blend under the guidance of Cory.   We did this last year and it was a great experience.

Sometime in June we will be doing a blending session at Side Project for the new batch of Merci with Cory King!

Cory has graciously allowed us to bring 10 of our customers with us to taste from barrel at Side Project.

The blending session will be in June sometime - date to be announced.

So the top 10 BRC customers based on beer purchases will be invited to the event.  If they cannot attend, we will go down the list until we have 10 people.
It will be based from January 1, 2018  through probably about mid May to give us time to invite people and have them save the date.

Update - D8 is still coming.  Be patient, will announce when we have a date.    It will be super limited - we are getting about 48 bottles only.
This one will go based on beer support from the last 6 months before the release date.
Here is the rough plan -

  • Top 35 beer supporters will be allocated a bottle.
  • Then 10 bottles will go via weighted raffle to the top 100 (those that did not already get a bottle - so 36-100 will have have a chance also to purchase a bottle.).   Whatever #100 spent in the last 6 months that amount will count as 1 raffle ticket and each person from 100-36 will get as many raffle tickets based on their purchases.
  • Will save 3 for something later, not sure what yet.

Side Project D8
Derivation is our series of Barrel-Aged Imperial Stouts in which we brew several recipes, age them in a variety of barrels and blend them before bottling to add depth and structure to this massive style of beer.

Blend: #8 | ABV: 15%

Blend #8 is a select blend of barrel-aged stouts that were aged for 1 to 3 years before being blended and infused with coffee, coconut and vanilla.

was looking forward to the barrel aged option 2 that never came out last year :(

Unfortunately they went out of business before it got bottled/canned. Apparently it ended up in kegs and sold.
