Dazzling wines from Brewer Clifton

"You’ll be hard pressed to find a better lineup of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from anyone in California." - Jeb Dunnuck

Jeb Dunnuck's 2021 Central Coast report gave oodles of praise to Greg Brewer's latest releases. Greg has been crafting wonderful wines in Santa Rita since 1996, and was integral in the region getting its own AVA in 1997. Make sure to pick up a couple bottles of each of these outstanding appellation wines. They will not disappoint in the short term, but will get even better in 2-3 years.

2021 Brewer-Clifton Chardonnay Santa Rita Hills...$36.99
Ripe orchard fruits, butted lemon, crushed stone, and salty, marine-influence notes all emerge from the 2021 Chardonnay Sta. Rita Hills, a concentrated, medium to full-bodied Chardonnay with a liquid rock-like sense of minerality, beautiful mid-palate density, and a great finish. You should never underestimate these appellation releases from Greg Brewer. This is an insane value in top Chardonnay from California.
Rated 96/100 Jeb Dunnuck

2021 Brewer-Clifton Pinot Noir Santa Rita Hills...$42.99
Leading off the reds, the 2021 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills offers a pure, complex, intense perfume of ripe raspberries, peppery herbs, exotic flowers, and underbrush. This deep, rich, medium to full-bodied Pinot Noir has a layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, remarkable purity, and a great, great finish. It will stand up to anything in the vintage and should be snatched up by savvy readers.
