Perennial Prodigal Imperial Oatmeal Stout

Perennial Prodigal Imperial Oatmeal Stout....$5.99 / pint can
We scored some more cases today!!
Prodigal is an imperial oatmeal milk stout with a massive fudge and roast malt character. It’s a foundation for some of our favorite stouts, now here to stand on its own adorned with only a handful of cacao nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans to round out the edges.

New Belgium Err on the Side of Awesome

In stock at Forsyth and limited!
New Belgium Err on the Side of Awesome...$12.99 / 375ml
Dark and Golden Sour with Cherries
This collaboration with our long-time friends and world-class sour producers, The Rare Barrel, is full of complex and risky adventure. We took a portion of our dark sour, Oscar, blended it with kriek lambic, matured it in our original 17 wine barrels that began our sour program, then blended in our golden sour, Felix, before corking and bottle conditioning for several months.

2016 Rotem & Mounir Saouma  Chateauneuf-du-Pape "Omnia"...$99.98
Sublime, with a beguiling mouthfeel to the layers of cherry puree, steeped plum and warmed raspberry coulis fruit flavors, melded with rooibos tea, bergamot, incense and jasmine notes. The long finish features subtle minerality and remarkable persistence, seeming to move with grace. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Best from 2021 through 2045.
125 cases imported.
Rated 97/100 The Wine Spectator

You absolutely must try this Chateauneuf-du-Pape made by a Lebanese winemaker who also is a top-tier Burgundy negociant.
Wait...what?
Admittedly, this is not much of a sales pitch. But, let me explain:
Mounir Saouma and his wife, Rotem, moved to France in 1995. Mounir wanted to be winemaker in Burgundy, but his unique style of winemaking made it hard for him to find permanent residence. So, he started a micro-negociant under the name "Lucien le Moine". He purchased newly fermented wines, then raised them and bottled them. His Premier Cru and Grand Cru cuvees are generally less than 75 case lots, and they are among the most sought after in the area.

Saouma eventually wanted to purchase his own property, but since that is nearly impossible to do in Burgundy, he set his sights on the Rhone Valley. Much like his highly regarded Burgundies from Lucien le Moine, Mounir's Chateauneufs are made with the utmost care and precision, hence the miniscule production. We were able to score 5 of the 125 cases imported to the US.

This wine is an incredible wine with great depth and complexity. A true standout. Don't sleep on it!

Craigellachie 17 Year Old Single Malt Scotch

Craigellachie 17 Year Old Single Malt Scotch...$119.99
What does Craigellachie mean?
It means 'ROCKY HILL'. Because it's a hill and it's rocky.
Persistent aren't we? You and our late co-founder Peter Mackie have something in common.
Even when styles changed and the other distilleries moved on, he dug his heels into the craggy Craigellachie rock. Steadfastly using worm tubs to add sulphurous ballast to the dram - they called him 'old fashioned' even in 1891. Ol' Mackie and his cat may have passed, but the Craigellachie method isn't going anywhere.

Hiatus Tequila

If you’re like us, you love tequila. But so much of it is mass produced and watered down . We wanted to make real tequila.

We set out to find a family-owned distillery in the place that gave tequila its name. In the town of Tequila, in Jalisco, Mexico, we found a family that makes award-winning tequila—traditionally, transparently, and passionately. Together we crafted something unique, while staying true to how real tequila should taste. Hiatus Tequila is naturally clean yet complex, ideal for sipping neat, but also shines in a cocktail. Just as we were inspired to make our dream of this tequila come true, we hope you’ll be inspired to take a break, seek balance, and pursue what matters most.

Go on hiatus from the everyday. You deserve it.

Hiatus Tequila Blanco...$46.99
Blanco: Flawlessly clear in the glass, our Blanco is bursting with aromas of roasted agave, fresh-cut grass, and tropical fruit. On the palate, it’s clean and complex with a luxurious mouthfeel, ideal for sipping neat or in a craft cocktail.

Hiatus Tequila Reposado...$51.99
Our Reposado is rested 6 months in recycled American whiskey barrels, giving it a pale straw hue. Caramelized agave, roasted red pepper, and cinnamon notes give way to hazelnut and vanilla. Silky with a touch of sweetness, enjoy it on its own or in a premium cocktail.

Hiatus Tequila Anejo...$55.99

Aged for a full year in recycled American oak, our Añejo pours a lush honey color. It opens with tantalizing aromas of dried herbs and candied fruit followed by hints of baking spices, cocoa, and toasted oak. Sip it after dinner or try it in a rich dessert cocktail.

Jack Daniels Legacy Bottling #2 Edition

First and second edition are both in stock now!!

Jack Daniels Legacy Bottling #2 Edition...$22.99 / 750ml
43% ABV
Our second bottling in the limited edition legacy series is reminiscent of an early 1900s era design.  Its anchor and rope crest and black background speak to the quiet confidence and character of the Tennessee whiskey that rests within.

Jack Daniels Legacy Bottling #1...$22.99 / 750ml
43% ABV (not 40% like the black label)
HERE'S TO COLORFUL BEGINNINGS
Jack Daniel’s is known for being a well-crafted, smooth sippin’ Tennessee Whiskey. You don’t last for over 150 years if you’re not a quality product, after all. We’ve become known for something else along the way too: our iconic black and white label. But what people may not know is that the history of our label wasn’t always so black and white.
Some time before 1904 our bottles were a rather unexpected shade of green with an eye-catching gold trim. And as unusual as that may seem, it’s just one of the many labels in Old No. 7’s past. You have to be patient to make whiskey, and it seems that Jack took his time landing on the tried-and-true black label we know today. This is the first in our series of Legacy Edition Bottles. Each label we release will celebrate the unique, slightly mysterious history of Old No. 7.

Mancino Vermouth Vecchio...$179.99 / liter
The first aged Italian Vermouth, dark tawny brown, year aged oak aroma, cherry, honey, raisons, quinne, orange zest and liquorice.

Starting its life as the Mancino Rosso Amaranto, this extraordinary vermouth, has been resting in a single Italian Oak barrel for one year, making it the first aged, sweet vermouth.
Its character has gained strengths of old wood, time and additional spice, thus, demanding a little more respect. It has developed a richer, nutty and fruitier nose, with essences of Cherry, Honey, Raisons, dark chocolate and Vanilla. Not losing its original palate, but expanding in flavour and substance, the Mancino Vecchio will deliver a burst of a deeper bitter sweet, aged experience. Treat it as you would an old gentleman

St. George Baller Single Malt Whiskey

1 per person
St. George Baller Single Malt Whiskey....$64.99
THE SPIRIT:  “A California take on the Japanese spin on Scotch whisky.” So says master distiller Lance Winters of this unique and inspired spirit, which was created with Japanese-style whiskey highballs in mind (hence the name Baller).

THE PROCESS:  We start with 100% American barley (predominately two-row pale malted barley, the remainder is lightly roasted).  After distillation in our eau de vie pot stills, the whiskey is aged in used bourbon casks and French oak wine casks, as well as filtered through maple charcoal.  We then finish the whiskey in casks that had held house-made umeshu(a Japanese style of plum liqueur we made entirely from California-grown ume fruit).

THE EXPERIENCE:   Crisp and dry, with a touch of malt sweetness. The smoky finish lingers and builds with each sip.  In addition to using in Japanese-style whiskey highballs, we also recommend Baller in a Boulevardier, or in place of Scotch whisky in a Bobby Burns or Rob Roy.

ABOUT THE LABEL
Distiller Lance Winters did the art direction for the label, which re-imagines the legend of St. George as a samurai. The original watercolor on the front label was by Oakland artist Sylvia Solochek Walters, done to emulate woodcut. The calligraphy was done by Eri Takase of Takase Studios.
