    Verzet Oud Bruin -- new!

    Verzet Oud Bruin 2013....$9.99 / 375ml
    Anzegem, Belgium

This " old brown " is a beer that we like to call our flagship , it is a typical beer style for our region. This beer is a blend of some 'old' brown beer already has a maturation of 6 months in oak barrels behind it, and some "young" brown beer. Each vessel is tasted separately and cut to taste in different concentrations with each other . So we get the perfect blend. Each year the taste slightly different. The main characteristics remain always the same : the aroma is dominated by green apple, red fruits and oak. The taste is refreshingly acidic and very thirst-quenching. Enjoy your meal! Oud Bruin has an alcohol content of 6% and is available in bottles of Geuze 37,5cl .

    Amager / Crooked Stave Collab

Amager / Crooked Stave Chad King of the Wild Yeasts...$8.99 / pint
“After long years of the beer community discussing hops to exhaustion, yeast is finally getting a glimpse of the spotlight following what seemed to be a lengthy Batman-like existence: outcast, living in the shadows, not getting enough credit for his work. However, the importance of fermentation is no news to Chad from Crooked Stave, a.k.a. the king of Hipsters, who has been fondling with various fermenting agents for longer than most people have been drinking. So it was that on a beautiful – yet excruciatingly hungover – Wednesday Mr Yakobsen came to Amager to bombard us simpletons with his knowledge on all things yeasty, and especially, bretty. Due to stubbornness from our end, we still insisted the brew carried a motherf#&@ of hops, despite intents of a brett forward beer. The answer to what ingredient won the battle lies within this bottle. But in our opinion, we are all winners. “
    Style: Wild Ale
    ABV: 5.00%

    Freigeist new beers...

    Freigeist Abraxxxas Pear...$8.99 / pint
    Freigeist Abraxxxas Apple....$8.99 / pint

Based on Freigeist’s classic sour east-German wheat beer, Abraxxxas Apple Lichtenhainer and Pear Lichtenhainer feature all the complexity, funkiness, and drinkability of the original but go one step further by adding tart & flavorful real fruit during fermentation. The resultant brews are incredibly lively, characterful, and thirst-quenching.
    Style: Fruit Beer
    ABV: 6.00%

Freigeist Geisterzug Traditional Spruce Gose...$4.99 / pint
Based on a recipe dating back at least six hundred years, this is Freigeist’s quirky version of the nearly-extinct traditional sour beer of Leipzig. “Geisterzug” (“Ghost Train”) spruced gose is unusually complex, funky, and full-bodied, the perfect modern-day medieval German ale.

Freigeist Geisterzug Rhubarb Gose...$7.49 / pint
Freigeist Geisterzug Quince Gose....$7.49 / pint
Based on Freigeist’s ancient spruced Gose recipe, Geisterzug Quince & Geisterzug Rhubarb feature all the complexity, funkiness, and body of the of the original but go one step further by adding tart & flavorful real fruit & vegetable during fermentation. The resultant brews are incredibly lively, characterful, and thirst-quenching.
    Style: Gose
    ABV: 5.20%

    Ridgeway stouts

    Ridgeway Foreign Export Stout...$4.49 / 500ml
Ridgeway Foreign Export Stout bottle matures in a similar way to vintage port. Roasted malts and leaf hops initially provide an aroma of breakfast coffee and fresh spices that gradually fades to reveal licorice, caramel, and raisin notes that are products of the aging process. Beneath all this change sits a solid and resilient backbone of bitter English hop. Satisfyingly foreign. You might even imagine the glow of the peat fire?
    Style: Stout
    ABV: 8.0%

    Ridgeway Imperial Russian Stout...$4.49 / 11.2oz
Master brewer Peter Scholey tells us:

“Imperial Russian Stouts historically tend to be declared in the range of 9 to 10% alcohol by volume, at 10% Ridgeway’s is at the top of that range. What differentiates the style from simply a strong stout or porter is that extended ageing and perhaps a little judicious “infection” before bottling which makes them considerably more vinous and sharp than an export stout so there is MUCH more of a wine character than you normally get in a strong ale. Not soured but just that little nod towards a lambic beer. Very roasty and very bitter. That bitterness mellows over time in the bottle but if you are lucky enough to get an Imperial Russian on draught it will be full on. The style is not intended to be overtly hoppy once settled but obviously with so many hops used the draught experience will have something on the hop front that won’t be there in a bottled version.”

Ridgeway’s Russian Imperial Stout will be brewed once a year. A small number of numbered bottles will be made available for you to enjoy immediately or to lay down for a while.”
    Style: Imperial Russian Stout
    ABV: 10.0%

"Ale brewed with Hobb Family rose hips, peppercorns and fresh orange peels. Dry hopped in the barrel with Citra Hops. Triple fermented - first in the tank with a belgian yeast, second in french oak Pinot Noir barrels with brett, and finally in the bottle with a third yeast for natrual carbonation" -- bottle
"A feeling overcomes, deriving of a most curious perplexity. A rich desire awakens to explore the contents of such delicate loveliness. Upon a deep connection with rounded lips, a bitter sweet complexity enters the soul...and so begins an amorous affair heightened awareness envelopes the senses as the grandeur of such bold character develops. Caramel beauty exhibits itself, sprawling its full body widely upward, bubbling with excitement. Tantalizing effects of peppery bitterness grasps the tongue. Enchantment takes hold as a blanket of citrus slowly unfolds. As in any noteworthy love story, a subtle fruity sweetness of a rose emerges to the finish. A warm contentment grazes over, signifying a united marriage of balance and pleasure.

Fortitude has revealed itself to those who have encountered such an enriching experience. An experience so delectable, so defining, so unequivocal. An experience that is Love's Buzz." -- bottle
