When they ran out of beer they still didn't want to go outside so they decided it would be better if they just started brewing their beer in the sauna. And so began the tradition of brewing this Finnish style beer in saunas. Stone Brewing Xocoveza Charred

Stone Brewing Xocoveza Charred...$14.99 / pint
Stone Xocoveza Mocha Stout aged in Bourbon Barrels
STYLE:  Milk Stout
ALC/VOL 10%
The base beer is the recipe of 2014 Stone Homebrew Competition winner Chris Banker, an intensely flavorful milk stout brewed with cocoa, coffee and spices to mimic the rich flavors of Mexican hot chocolate.

CELLAR NOTES
Time spent in bourbon barrels gave an already complex beer even more complexity and flavor intensity, layering additional caramel-like and vanilla flavors on top of those already present. Aromas of rich coffee and dark chocolate are followed by nutmeg and cinnamon; a lush, heavy mouthfeel laden with charred oak and toffee engulfs the palate on the first sip. Lingering pasilla pepper and soft oak flavors persist through an exceptionally long finish in this intensely rich and satisfying beer.

Beer nerd facts

What's a Russian serf stout? Being smart alecky brewers (and people), the first beer our brewery produced was a 3.5% ABV Russian Imperial Stout. Some people got the joke, other people were mad. The intent wasn't to make people mad, we just wanted them to think about how beer is defined. Ultimately we authored the Russian Serf Stout style. It has all the roasted malt complexity of it's high alcohol brother, without the alcoholic burn and companioning sweetness.
Sample Menu Description:  A mouse-sized Russian Imperial Stout. For the people who said you couldn’t make a small Russian Imperial Stout, we call it a Russian Serf Stout. Brewing for the proletariat!

Stone Grapefruit Slam Double IPA

Stone Grapefruit Slam Double IPA...$15.99 / 6pk cans
Double India Pale Ale
ALC/VOL
8%
We’ve made a hell of a lot of beers since 1996. Probably thousands at this point. Some stick around for decades, some for a few years and some are brief visits, gracing us with their hoppy presence for a short time before becoming fond memories. Occasionally stars, planets and brewing schedules align and we bring back one of these ephemeral creations. In fall of 2014 we created a draft-only version of this delicious double India pale ale. Its bitter, zesty grapefruit peel infusion created a bright accent to flavors of pine resin and fresh citrus well in advance of the explosion of fruited beers we’re all reveling in at the moment. We never stopped thinking about it, so a long five years later, we’re bringing back Stone Grapefruit Slam IPA for round two. It’s a link to the past planted delightfully in the present.

Rogue Rolling Thunder Stouted Whiskey...$69.99
115.8 proof

Rolling Thunder Stouted Whiskey is a first of its kind. It’s made with barley grown on Rogue Farms and distilled from a wash that began as Dead Guy Ale, brewed right next to the distillery in Newport, Ore. It was first aged one year in new Oregon Oak (Quercus garryana) barrels crafted at our Rolling Thunder Barrel Works before aging two more years in barrels that had previously aged Rolling Thunder Imperial Stout. Rogue grains, beer, whiskey, barrels and the magic of Newport’s marine climate make this American Single Malt as unique as the hands that crafted it.

Ingredients: Rogue Dare and Risk proprietary malts, Crystal 15 malt, free-range coastal water.
