Fantastic values

We scored some fantastic values from the importer....they are moving into the next vintage and priced these to move. Great values worth buying by the case.

2010 Villa des Anges Merlot...$6.99
"The Villa des Anges 2010 Merlot is softer in feel and lower-key in flavor than its Cabernet counterpart, but its alliance of ripe, admirably fresh plum and dark cherry with hints of chocolate and moss offers plenty of appeal and palate persistence for a less than modest price. Enjoy it over the coming year." -- The Wine Advocate

2009 Alfredo Roca Malbec Merlot....$5.99
The Roca family has been producing wine in Mendoza for 4 generations, and currently farms nearly 260 acres in San Rafael, the southernmost province of Mendoza.  Tasting Notes: Shows a vibrant red color, with aromas of plums and ripe red fruit on the nose. The Malbec’s soft tannins and Merlot’s delicate fruit result in a wine of great intensity, elegance, and balance.   Serve With: An ideal pairing with saucy pasta dishes, pizza, or carne asada.

"To take up the challenge and make a 100% true Brett beer can very easily become a fatal attraction for the Brewmaster. Ones you get acquainted with Bretts irresistible, seductive, alluring and very charming nature, it will ensnare you and drive you to the point of obsession to create the desirable tangy, funky, tart flavor in ya mouth." - label

Evil Twin The Talented Mr. Orangutan Stout...$11.99 / 500ml
He has proportionally longer arms than others, recognisable by his reddishbrown hair, among the most intelligent primates and uses a variety of really sophisticated tools. But what makes him so gifted and very sought after is his notorious ability to maintain deviously capable, deliver something unpredictable and always perform with a curious mind of a five year old.

"This West Coast-style Pale Ale is brewed with 80% English barley malt and 20% rye malt. It boasts a massive floral aroma of resinous hops, contributing notes of lemons, peaches and pine needles and anchored by sweet, malty flavor of toffee and freshly-baked pumpernickel bread." -- brewery

Sam Adams Barrel Room Collection

Back in stock -- 4 more cases of each

Now also available online

Sam Adams Stony Brook Red...$8.49 / 750ml
This unique brew defies traditional beer style definition. The rich, malty brew combines notes of tart fruit from the yeast with a toasty oak character from the barrel aging. The long dry finish is almost wine-like.This is a beer that is satisfying on its own and also pairs well with many foods such as braised or roasted meats, beef stews and strong salty cheeses.

Sam Adams New World Tripel...$8.49 / 750ml
Pale gold in color, this ale is big, flavorful and complex. A special Belgian yeast strain adds tropical fruit and spice notes to the crisp dry ale, while Saaz hops add a subtle herbal note.

Sam Adams Thirteenth Hour...$8.49 / 750ml
The thirteenth hour is the witching hour and refers to the mysterious combination of flavors in this brew. We've combined the roasted chocolate and coffee flavors of a stout with the spicy character of a Belgian ale aged in oak.

The combination of 7 different malts creates a brilliant black brew that's full bodied and smooth with rich notes of coffee, chocolate, and dark fruits like raisins and plums. The dark roasty, and slightly sweet flavors of a stout are blended with the unique, spicy and sour character of ourKosmic Mother Funk (KMF), an ale that's been aged in oak tuns for up to a year. The KMF gives the beer an added complexity with notes of black pepper, oak, vanilla, and a hint of acidity.

Enjoy this beer now or age it to further develop unique flavors.
We recommend pouring the beer gently into a traditional glass. Take care not to unsettle the fine layer of yeast that rests at the bottom from the bottle-conditioning, a process which creates an extra smooth and balanced flavor in the beer.

Deschutes Obsidian Stout

Deschutes Obsidian Stout....$8.99 / 6 pack
Deep, robust and richly rewarding, this is beer to linger over. Obsidian has distinct notes of espresso, chocolate, roasted malt and black barley, with just enough hop bite to cut the sweetness. Malt: Pale, Crystal, Carapils, Munich, Black Barley, Roasted Barley, Wheat Hops: Nugget, Millennium, Willamette, Northern Brewer

Schneider Weisse Tap X Cuvee Barrique...$17.99 / 750ml
Wheat Doppelbock 9.5% ABV aged in wine barrels
Collab between Schneider and BFM of Switzerland

"In 2010 Hans-Peter Drexler started a new project maturing some of his finest beers in wine barrels.  He enjoyed the expertise of brewmaster Jerome de Rebetez from Brasserie des Franches Montagnes in Switzerland who grew up in a wine producing family.
Thus, they created delicious new beer aromes.  Mein Barrique Cuvee welcomes you and a fruity nose reminding of fiigs and dried pears.  On the palate you meet cherries, balanced by a hint of vanilla and chocolate and a pleasantly sour and liquorice taste.   A warming well balanced Cuvee with a long, dry finish - just like good red wine." -- Georg VI. Schneider

Usually the best things we find for our store are products that don't come looking for us, they are products that we go looking for them.  Durham's Tracklements Custom Smoked Provisions is one of those products.  In fact, we have been trying for months to sell their salmon in our store.  They kept telling us that they cannot keep up with demand at this point and they are not taking on any more accounts.  Our begging finally paid off and we our on our 3rd shipment,  Supply is limited.
