Chateau Carbonneau Bordeaux

Chateau Carbonneau
The family vineyard is located to the east of the Bordeaux wine region, about 25 minutes from Saint-Emilion. Wines of the Franc de Ferriere family originate from a unique area on the hills of the Dordogne river, giving the appellation all of its originality and grace.  Cultivating mainly Merlot and Cabernet varietals, Wilfrid and his team do their utmost to produce quality wines reflecting the potential of our terroir.   Our philosophy and practices are constantly evolving in order to produce wines that are unique, elegant and full of flavours.

Great new Bordeaux!  Check them out!

2019 Chateau Carbonneau Le Verriere Red Bordeaux....$34.99
This is the top wine from this estate. With its dominance of rich Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine has considerable potential. A rich structure and perfumed wood and fruit flavors will see it age well. Drink from 2024.
Rated 91/100 The Wine Enthusiast
Aromas of black fruit, dried leaves, grilled herbs and undergrowth. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, chewy tannins. Fleshy and broad with earthy character. 80% cabernet sauvignon and 20% merlot. Drink after 2024.
Rated 90/100 James Suckling

This has aromas of sliced lemons, apricots, melon rind, celery and beeswax. It’s medium-bodied with crisp acidity and a creamy, gently oily palate. Layered and flavorful with delicious celery-salt notes on the finish. 50% semillon and 50% sauvignon blanc. Drink now.
