This is a very special and very old Wheated barrel from his warehouse.
The T-Rex Wheated Bourbon Planting Season Barrel 2025 Edition is an impessive whiskey from Nobletons Distilling House, located in Union, Missouri. This barrel features a mash bill of 51% corn, 45% wheat, and 4% malted barley, emphasizing its wheated profile. A "very special and very old Wheated barrel with amazing depth and complexity. The high wheat content is evident in the caramel, vanilla, and honey nose along with a gentle spice and a creamy mouthfeel. You also get flavors of dried fruits, and hints baking spices.  



PEOPLE LAND PURPOSE
The Theodore Rex Ozark Highlands Whiskey Series is an annual selection of four single barrel whiskeys released to coincide with the changing seasons, and a fifth barreling comprising a blend of the four seasonal single barrels. For our collab, we took a @southerngristbrewing favorite, Control Process, and looped in one of our favorite hops to their experiment, Strata!Control Loops starts with a base of 2-row, flaked oats and flaked wheat. A whirlpool of our hand-selected Citra kicks off the hop bill before a massive dry hop of Motueka, Galaxy, and Strata.

It opens with initial touches of glossy new American oak—dill and toasted coconut—and gives way to kaleidoscopic black and red plums, cherries and berries, plus accents of hibiscus and potpourri. The full-bodied palate features generous, spicy flavors. It’s structured by abundant, powdery tannins and lively acidity and has a long, detailed finish. Winemaker Shauna Rosenblum says this 2022 was crafted using only American oak, a shift from the blend of French and American oak used in the past. It has resulted in a particularly pure, transparent expression that opens dramatically with air, and this 2022 Lytton Springs will benefit from several years in the cellar.
