Pernot Belicard - White Burgundy!

From the grandson of Paul Pernot!!!!
There is a lot of buzz around these wines!
We are excited to introduce these wines to Missouri!
We only have 36-120 bottles of each.

This small six-hectare domaine located in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet is making rapid strides. Philippe Pernot (the grandson of the Paul Pernot)

"an estate to watch." - The Wine Advocate (2017)

"The Pernot Bellicard Beaune 1er Cru is so delicious and easily the best $70 bottle of Chardonnay in the store." - Aaron Zwicker

2022 Pernot Belicard Beaune Premier Cru Pertuisots Blanc....$62.99
Miniscule production, just a few hundred cases per year
The grapes for this wine come from a small parcel of 1.1 acre in the village of Beaune. This Chardonnay offers an intense nose on yellow fruits, apricot and peach. Beautifully textured, round and opulent on the palate, the wine combines a mineral character, power and freshness with a crisp and long finish.
Suffering vines on 161/49C rootstock have had to be pulled out, and the first bit replanted this spring on 420A. Mid lemon colour. A little touch of oak, a more generous fruit, soft white orchard fruit, I think this will become more opulent with time, but there is enough acidity behind, and good length. Drink from 2025-2027
Rated 89-92/100 Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
