This single-vineyard Chardonnay is produced in the village of Péronne, in the heart of the Maconnais region in Burgundy, from 40 year-old vines planted on the limestone based soils of the Mount Epin. A beautiful golden color with green reflections, delicate toasty notes and attractive aromas of citrus and ripe summer fruits combine with floral and honey nuances that are typical of the old vines. Fresh, ample and full-bodied on the palate, the wine is perfect by itself as an aperitif and delicious during the meal.

Ripe fruit and flowery nose. On the palate, it begins with smooth yet sharp aromas of grapefruit and lemon followed by a rich texture giving place to hints of honey and white flowers. The finish is long thanks to good acidity levels
This wine pairs nicely with smoked salmon, mixed salads, sushis, poultry and veal in cream sauce, creamy risotto, and goat cheeses. Just south of the Burgundy region, the Chardonnay benefits from great exposure to sun throughout the growing season. Once the fermentation is over, the wine is aged in oak for a couple of months to add flavor and complexity.

This wine is a free blend of the two main white varietals of Burgundy: Chardonnay and Aligoté. The berries are sourced from different parts of the Burgundy region characterized by a large variety of different soils. Both grapes are vinified separately and blended before bottling, which gives them more control on the typicity of this wine. This is a great aperitif wine but it also pairs well with pasta, cured meats, pork, chicken, rich fish like salmon and tuna as well as soft, mild cheeses.
