Greenock Creek Barossa Shiraz wines are back!

We have not seen Greenock Creek in Missouri for at least 5 years....we are excited to introduce it back to Missouri, we are the only place in the state with these wines!
Thrust into the international wine spotlight thanks to an unmatched eight perfect 100-point scores from the world’s leading wine expert, Robert Parker of The Wine Advocate, Greenock Creek remains the proud standard-bearer for long-lived Barossa Valley red wines of deep colour, abundant flavour and great structure.

2019 Greenock Creek Barossa Shiraz....$29.99
This 2019 Shiraz from Greenock Creek is a dark, brooding, concentrated, savory Shiraz, punctuated by notes of resin, molasses, licorice, aniseed, dark chocolate and black tea. There is plenty to grip to here: oak, tannin, fruit... This is a big wine and one that has built a big name. This is best drunk within the decade—to capture some of the fruit while it is lively, I should think.
Rated 91/100 The Wine Advocate
“The initially reserved nose suddenly turns charismatic with a few minutes or air, with black pepper, fresh mint and crushed blackberry booming out of the glass. On the nose, a savoury Worcestershire sauce note comes to the fore followed by black plum skin and black olive. Utterly fascinating, this is still incredibly young and could use several years to settle down. Thanks to its firm, lightly course tannins and buoyant acidity coupled with a puff pastry like layering of complex flavours, there is certainly no rush to open the bottle.”

2019 Greenock Creek Stone Block Shiraz...$39.99
The fruit for this 2019 Stone Block Shiraz is from the Moppa area, so we know we can expect some density and earthiness in the tannins here. The fruit is a skein of raspberry, blood and aniseed in the mouth, with a pert lift of alcohol through the finish. This is a fierce, muscular wine, with plush, supple, concentrated fruit on the middle palate.
Rated 92/100 The Wine Advocate
Opulent and wonderfully complex, the wine shows dark berry, smoked game, tapenade and dark chocolate characters on the nose, leading to a concentrated palate delivering power as well as grace. Superbly expressed with a lengthy delicious finish. At its best: now to 2040

2020 Greenock Creek Alices Shiraz...$49.99
“If you are after a full-bodied, impressively concentrated shiraz, this might be right up your alley. It's no wallflower, weighing in at 16% alcohol, but the balance is there and the fruit, cascading layers of ripe satsuma plum and blackberries, is a thing of wonder. There's some assertive fine-ground tannin, dark chocolate-dipped raspberries, plenty of spice and licorice and it's a wonderful, voluptuous sashay of fruit across your palate.” - James Halliday
Rated 95/100 James Halliday
It's gorgeously aromatic on the nose showing dark berry, thyme, dark chocolate and potpourri notes, followed by an impressively weighted palate delivering richly textured mouthfeel backed by firm tannins, finishing sturdy and persistent. At its best: now to 2038.

Deep crimson. Intense ripe blackberry, prune, dried apricot, mocha aromas with hints of liquorice. Inky deep wine with abundant blackberry, dark plum, stone fruit flavours, fine chocolaty tannins, underlying cedar/ graphite notes. Finishes chewy firm with bittersweet chinotto notes. Generous and well-balanced wine with ultra-ripe plush fruits, attractive vigour and mineral length.
