Antonia Ginard

2017 Antonia Ginard Petit Verdot....$19.99
Mendoza, Argentina
A variety you don't see stand on its own very often, the 2017 Petit Verdot Paraje Altamira is 100% Petit Verdot that spent 15 months in a mix of French and American oak barrels. Its deep purple color is followed by a terrific bouquet of black and blue fruits, asphalt, licorice, leafy herbs, and smoked earth. With good freshness, medium to full body, ripe tannin, and a clean finish, it's a beautiful wine that, I suspect, will keep for upwards of a decade.

2017 Antonia Ginard Cabernet Franc....$19.99
Mendoza, Argentina
Based on 100% Cabernet Franc brought up in French and American oak, the 2017 Cabernet Franc Paraje Altamira has a vivid bouquet of blackcurrants, smoked herbs, new leather, tobacco, and earth. Rich, textured, medium to full-bodied, and beautifully layered on the palate, it's a beautiful wine to drink over the coming 7-8 years or more.
Rated 92/100 Jeb Dunnuck
Exotic, minerally berry aromas hint at violet and fine herbs, with spice and cardamom notes in the background. A tight palate is dry and elegant, while this tastes of plum, wild berry and exotic spices. Dry tannins and freshness on the finish are what Paraje Altamira is all about. Drink now.
