Duplessis 2016 Chablis!

Fantastic CHABLIS!!!

Organic, Biodynamic and Vegan

2016 Duplessis Chablis Montee de Tonnerre 1er Cru...$39.99

Lowest price on Wine-Searcher is $49.99
Suggested retail $50

The 2016 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru has a very precise bouquet with subtle veins of liquorice infusing the citrus fruit, all well defined and focused, if not blatantly powerful. The palate is very well delineated with a slightly viscous, utterly harmonious opening. This feels effortless and natural, the acidity beautifully pitched with a precise and sustained finish that has just the right amount of salinity to urge another sip. Bon vin!

2016 Duplessis Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru...$39.99

Lowest price on Wine-Searcher is $46.99
Suggested retail $50

The 2016 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru offers a little more richness and fruité than the Vaillons with orange zest, dried apricot and light red apple scents, a little melted wax emerging with time. The palate is clean and precise, full of tension and race with a very poised, judiciously spiced finish. Excellent.

2016 Duplessis Chablis Le Clos Grand Cru...$69.99

Suggested retail $95
The 2016 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru has a complex bouquet: dried honey, smoke, oyster shell and light flinty aromas. There is admirable focus here, quite intense and growing in stature in the glass. The palate is beautifully balanced with a slightly creamy texture (although there is less than 20% new oak here). It feels tense and poised in the mouth, the acidity nicely judged, veins of ginger and a little curry leaf towards the finish that fans out with a sense of confidence. Give this three years in bottle if you can.
