Agostino Familia

Agostino Familia has fast become one of our favorite wineries!
The wines are not cheap, but they are still fantastic values.  They taste like they should be twice the price!

This wine competes with top White Bordeaux wines!

2015 Agostino Familia Semillon / Sauvignon...$25.99
A blend of 80% Semillon (aged in oak) and 20% Sauvignon Blanc (aged in tank), the 2015 Semillon - Sauvignon Blanc offers a brilliant, ripe, sexy, medium to full-bodied style that’s reminiscent of a top Bordeaux Blanc. With lots of caramelized citrus, brioche, lemon curd, and floral aromas and flavors, it’s beautifully balanced and one serious white. It’s going to shine on the dinner table for at least 4-5 years, and I certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see it keep longer.

2013 Agostino Familia de la Cava...$29.99
Made from 50% Malbec and 25% each of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 20 months in 70% new French and American oak, the 2013 De La Cava is straight up terrific, and one of the standouts in this report. Crème de cassis, licorice, smoked herbs and graphite all give way to a full-bodied, concentrated, voluptuous, yet incredibly well balanced 2013 that has a stacked mid-palate, ripe, sweet tannin and a great finish. This down right tour de force is a smoking value, even at over 40 dollars.
