Jandrain-Jandrenouille V Cense....$11.99 / 750ml
Belgian Farmhouse Ale
"This second release from the exuberant brewers at Jandrain-Jandrenouille is darker and spicier than the IV Saison. Caramel, dried fruit, and peppery flavors stand-out.
The name is a play on words - 'cense' is an old Walloon term for a farm such as the one where the Jandrain-Jandrenouille beers are brewed, but it is also pronounced the same as 'sens'('sense' in English)." -- importer

Jandrain-Jandrenouille IV Saison...$11.99 / 750ml

"The IV Saison is the latest discovery of the beer hipsters of Brussels. The Moeder Lambic, the best beer bar in town (and also the hippest), supports the brewery and loves this beer. Jandrain-Jandrenouille brews on a very small scale (capacity per brew is about 10 hl). The IV Saison is the only beer of theirs we're currently importing. It uses only malt, hops, yeast and water; no spices or sugar. It has some American hops -- the brewers work for the Yakima Chief hop consortium -- but they aren't over-used. It's a traditional saison, more bitter than spicy and sweet." -- importer
