O'Fallon 5 Day IPA

The new O'Fallon 5 Day IPA is in the new package (the Wheach switched a few weeks back). With all the new beers coming to Missouri, do not forget the great O'Fallon beers.

Really disappointed in the new O'Fallon packaging. I like the totally enclosed packages in order to avoid any possibliltiy of light-struck beer.

Any reason given for the switch? Cost? Environmental concerns? Boredom?

I emailed the brewery, but have not heard yet. Many people think it has something to do with Point Brewery contract brewing for them. They only use the "regular" 6 pack carriers and thought they wanted all their packaging to be the same?

"The switch in packaging was because Stevens Point’s facility was not able to do our 6pk boxes. So we switched to the 6pk carriers which is what they do every day at their facility. Also because they buy in such bulk that is was cheaper in the long run for them to purchase the 6pk carriers and we pay them. Rather than us purchasing them in our smaller bulk and shipping north. Hope this helps!" -- O'Fallon
