Once they are gone, they are gone for good!
2020 Weingut Ziereisen - Gutedel (Chasselas) Steinkrügle...$41.99 / 750ml
Chasselas is a native Swiss grape variety that also grows well in Germany, France, and Austria. It is a wonderful wine to pair with seafood, as well as fondue or raclette!
This is lovely, with lemongrass, yellow plum and Jonagold apple flavors seamlessly layered, offset with a quinine hint and carrying through a long, floral finish. A fine representation of the variety, it combining an ethereal feel with an alluring flavor profile. — Aleks Zecevic

2021 Weingut Ziereisen - Tschuppen Blauer Spatburgunder...$26.99 / 750ml
Drink this with a chill!
From loess parcels, the 2021 Spatburgunder (Pinot Noir) TS is from the Tschuppen. The purple-ruby colored wine opens with clear, fresh, well-defined cherry aromas with tart floral notes. Silky, fresh and elegant on the palate, this is a saline, tight and mineral, beautifully refreshing and tart-finishing Pinot Noir with tight but fine tannins and serious mineral acidity. From a remarkable terroir, this is a thirst-quenching Pinot of remarkable character, bone dry but irresistible. 12% stated alcohol. Tasted at the domaine in February 2024.

Ziereisen is located in the very southern part of Baden in a town called Efringen-Kirchen, directly on the Rhine river at the border of Alsace and Switzerland. The area is called Markgräflerland; another name is the Dreiländereck – the “three country corner”: Basel, Switzerland is the closest city, just 15 kilometers south. Here, Hanspeter and his wife Edel produce outstanding Pinot Noir and Gutedel (Chasselas) as well as a bit of Syrah, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Blanc. We hear the same mantra at this domaine that we hear in all of the top estates that we work with: “Quality is made in the vineyard. We work with utmost care to create the conditions for high-class wines. In the cellar we only do the minimum of work necessary allowing the wines to rest and time to mature. The French swear by their terroir – in this respect I am a Frenchman.” says Hanspeter Ziereisen--Importer
