We’ve brewed this Märzen-style Lager for many years at this point, but for the first time ever we decided to try a new process: krausening. For the uninitiated, krausening involves taking fresh yeast from an actively fermenting beer and adding it to a mostly fermented one to healthily finish the process, and further aid in conditioning, plus the removal of unwanted fermentation byproducts.
What results is a stunningly clean, amber-hued lager with just the right balance of bready malt character and a noble hop-accented, drying finish. Get into it. 5%ABV
