Our master blender has crafted a whisky of immeasurable complexity, thanks to a pioneering technique he calls ‘Wet Char’ (See reverse side). This remarkable process amplifies the wood’s influence far beyond what traditional methods could achieve. The result is a beautifully balanced whisky, with a superbly smooth mouthfeel. This Unicorn whisky reveals a unique combination of flavors that constantly change and evolve. Its high-tannin backbone trails a long line of toasted nutmeg mixed with the deep honey aroma of charred oak. Kaiyo Whisky The Ramu is the perfect union of Japanese and Caribbean flavors. This whisky is aged to perfection in Japanese Mizunara Oak casks for 6 years, then an additional two years in Caribbean JM Rhum agricole barrels. These unique agricole barrels infuses the whisky with a marriage of tropical sweetness and robust oakiness, creating a drinkable spirit that is complex yet smooth. On the nose, it is full of notes of crisp malt and golden raisins, followed by subtle hints of ripe tropical fruits and sweet oak. On the palate, there is a richness of toasted oak.
