Kongsgaard

Very limited - less than 3 bottles of each left!

2019 Kongsgaard Chardonnay...$119.99
The 2019 Chardonnay (Napa Valley) is superb. Powerful and resonant in the glass, with notable depth as well as structure, the 2019 is mesmerizing. Lemon peel, white pepper, chalk and mint lend brightness throughout. There is more than enough backbone to allow the 2019 to age gracefully for years to come. What a wine!

2016 Kongsgaard Cabernet Sauvignon...$239.99
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is a huge, brooding wine. Massively structured and tannic, the 2016 is going to need many years to come into its own. Today, it is a mere infant. Black cherry, scorched earth, chocolate, tar, graphite, grilled herbs and smoke, along with the wine's sheer heft, add to an impression of gravitas.-- Antonio Galloni

2018 Kongsgaard Cabernet Sauvignon...$239.99
A barrel sample, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon features a deep garnet-purple, singing on the nose of freshly crushed black cherries, black berry pie and warm plums over a core of cassis and pencil lead plus nuances of violets, cinnamon stick and underbrush. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers mouth-coating, crunchy black fruit with a firm backbone of ripe, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and spicy.

2018 Kongsgaard Syrah...$239.99

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Syrah Hudson Vineyard barrel sample explodes form the glass with an incredible array of classic Syrah notes: black cherries, black plums, blackberries and licorice with hints of garrigue, tar, bouquet garni and bacon fat. Full-bodied, the palate is equally atomic, with bags of expressive black fruits and meaty/peppery hints framed by ripe, rounded tannins, finishing long, refreshing and oh-so-spicy.
Rated 97-99+/100 The Wine Advocate
