Müller?...Müller?...Müller?...Müller? This is not your typical Müller Thurgau. If the year 2020 wasn't crazy enough, this fermentation caused me nothing but headaches and it was all my fault. In a fit of misplaced creativity, I decided to freeze the grapes for 3 days. I then brought them into the winery, and let them thaw naturally. The wine went nuclear reductive. So, to correct this I had to spend the next 24 days racking and returning twice a day. Thankfully, the reduction lifted and the resulting wine is one of the most serious versions of Müller? to date. While I am very happy with the results, going forward, I will temper my creative ideas during harvest. LOL. These are old vine, single vineyard, dry farmed grapes made from native yeast fermentation, and bottles unfined (Vegan) and lightly filtered.
