Dansk Mjod - Mead

Dansk Mjod

Dansk Viking Blod Mead....$27.99 / 750ml
In order to establish this mead we have combined the traditional brew with dried hibiscus. In addition to the color this spice adds an aromatic and floral aftertaste to this mead, like a good madeira.
Content: Honey added water, ginger and hibiscus - 19% alc.

Klapojster Mjod....$27.99 / 750ml
Klapøjster Mjød is just like our other mead based on honey and water, but with inspiration from a Danish tradition, we have mixed this mead with snaps.
This makes Klapøjster Mjød stronger than the traditional mead and get an aftertaste of snaps, but still retains mead sweetness and rich characteristics.
Content:  Honey, water, hops and snaps which increases the alc. to 21,8% vol.

Dansk Ribe Apple Honey Mjod...$27.99
Ribe Mjod is brewed in celebration of Scandinavia’s oldest town - Ribe, 1,300 years! The recipe is prepared in cooperation with Ribe Viking Centre.
Ribe Mjod is a dessert honey wine that can be enjoyed cooled or at room temperature. Ribe Mjod ages well. there may be some natural yeast sediments on the bottom.
Same honey base as Viking Blod/ Klapojster Mjod/ GI Dansk/ Vikingerness with the addition of fresh, unfiltered & unpateurized apple juice (local apples) added to the mix of honey and water.
After that it is then transferred to fermentation tank and fermented around 6 weeks. Then transferred to maturation tank to which hops (as bitter = balancing agent) is added (same process as with Viking Blod/Klapojster Mjod/GI Dansk Mjod/Vikingerness Mjod). It is then racked for a second time for about 10 days.

Dansk Vikingernes Mjod...$27.99
To create a nuanced mead, we have added hops to Vikingernes Mjød. This spice creates a slightly spicy, aromatic, sweet and semi-dry mead, which is reminiscent of white port wine.
Content:  Honey added hops , water and spices - 19% alc.
