Paul Giraud Cognac


Paul Giraud is located in the picturesque village of Bouteville in the heart of La Grande Champagne region of Cognac. The vineyards situated around Bouteville are reputed for producing eaux-de-vie of great finesse. The Giraud family has been producing exceptional Cognacs for several generations The Giraud family has some of the oldest stock of cognacs in the region.
Paul Giraud, coming from a culture of distilling, takes great care to create cognacs that are not just elegant blends, but to make sure his know how creates cognacs that are expressions of terroir.

Paul Giraud’s estate is 42 hectares of ugni-blanc vineyards planted in the heart of la Grande Champagne region. Harvest is still done by hand. The vinification and distillation are both done at the estate. There are two alembic stills at Paul Giraud; one capable of 14 hectoliters the other 18 hectoliters. The distillation requires a know how that has been passed down from generation to generation. The eaux-de-vies are aged in very humid cellars on the estate.

The style of Cognac Paul Giraud is one of finesse with aromas of flowers, fruit and spice. The Cognacs from Paul Giraud that show a richness and silky character are bottled for Cognac Paul Giraud.

Paul Giraud Cognacs are produced only from the Grande Champagne and their XO is aged for 25 years in barrels with a medium toast and with 33% of those barrels being new.
