Joseph Drouhin Macon Villages

As much as we love bringing new wines to market and showing off our latest wine-finds sometimes it is just as satisfying when one of our longtime favorites gets a nod from the critics. It surely won't come as a surprise to our regulars that the Joseph Drouhin Macon Villages received some great press recently:

2017 Joseph Drouhin Macon Villages...$12.99
The 2017 Mâcon-Villages from Maison Joseph Drouhin is a very pretty and quite classic example of its appellation. The bouquet is quite floral, wafting from the glass in a mix of apple, fresh almond, a developing note of beeswax, spring flowers, toasty Mâconnais soil tones and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and impressively vibrant, with a very good core of fruit, lovely soil signature, zesty acids and lovely backend energy on the long and complex finish. This is a very lovely example of Mâcon-Villages, with impressive backend amplitude. A great value! 2019-2026.
Rated 90/100 John Gillman A View from The Cellar
