This rare, bottling was selected to mature four years longer than Oban 14-Year-Old.
Those extra four years give Oban 18-Year-Old a rounder, more developed flavour. The sweeter notes such as banana and toasted teacake, found subtly in Oban 14-Year-Old are amplified. The rich sweetness of Oban 18-Year-Old is perfectly balanced with the most mysterious of flavours: a dry hint of Sea Salt.
Sweet with white banana notes at firstfollowed by toasted muffins and a trace of toasted tea-cake before the familiarOban key note of sweet smokiness and salt appears.
Fruity like rhubarb compote. Smooth texturedand easy to drink.
Long with late smoke, cocoa and aniseed. Oilyand rich with long tannins.
