A blend of 75% Carignan and 25% Syrah, the 2011 Les Barras high altitude vineyards located southwest of the town of Carcassonne. Deeply colored, it possesses classic Carignan aromas and flavors of deep black fruits, pine resin, new leather, and hints of flower to go with a medium to full-bodied, balanced, and beautifully proportioned mouth feel that stays light and elegant. Very supple, with uncommon polish to its tannin, this outstanding blend benefits from a decant, and will drink nicely for 5-7 years. (90 pts.)
    Rated 90/100 Rhone Report
