2011 Val Auclair VallĂ©e du Paradis Les Barras...$7.99
Suggested retail $24
Lowest price on Wine-Searcher is $19.99
A blend of 75% Carignan and 25% Syrah, the 2011 Les Barras high altitude vineyards located southwest of the town of Carcassonne. Deeply colored, it possesses classic Carignan aromas and flavors of deep black fruits, pine resin, new leather, and hints of flower to go with a medium to full-bodied, balanced, and beautifully proportioned mouth feel that stays light and elegant. Very supple, with uncommon polish to its tannin, this outstanding blend benefits from a decant, and will drink nicely for 5-7 years. (90 pts.)

Certified Organic in France
Ecocert has available an extensive network of inspectors in over 80 countries for on-site inspection of products from organic farming. Ecocert undertakes at least one inspection per year, supplemented by spot checks over the course of the year. Samples may be taken for laboratory analysis. The entire production chain is checked, from the raw material to the finished product. A scale of penalties applies to non-compliant products, which may go as far as final suspension of the certificate.

France's national logo for organic products since 1985. Organic products carrying the logo must contain more than 95 percent organic components, and be produced or processed within the EU, and were certified by one of the inspection bodies accredited according to EN 45011.
