2012 Chateau Rigaud Faugeres....$15.99
The 2012 Faugeres Chateau Rigaud is a superb effort that does everything right. Layered, rich and textured, with medium to full-bodied weight on the palate, it gives up impressive dark fruits, licorice, toasted bread and spice on the nose. A blend of 55% Syrah, 26% Mourvedre and 19% Grenache aged 12 months in demi-muid (Syrah) and concrete tank (Grenache and Mourvedre), it should continue to impress through 2022.

These solid efforts are made by Claude Gros, who also consults at Chateau de la Negly, and is one of the leading oenologists in the region.
