O'Fallon Brewing / Bissinger's King Louie Toffee Stout...$7.99 / 6pk
"O'Fallon Brewery and Bissinger's Handcrafted Chocolatier are partnering to brew a new seasonal beer, King Louie's Toffee Stout, that will debut this fall.  The 7 percent alcohol by volume beer -- brewed with malted barley, three roast levels of caramel malts and flaked oats --  Head Brewer Brian Owens said O'Fallon Brewery is creating test batches now to develop the recipe. "We're fine-tuning the ingredients," Owens said. "We're leaning toward a sweeter stout."
O'Fallon Brewery has sourced ingredients from Bissinger's for several years, including an un-Dutched low-fat cocoa powder for its Cocoa Latte draft beer available in the winter.  But the King Louie's Toffee Stout is the first time the 14-year-old craft brewery has offered a co-branded product, which will feature both Bissinger's and O'Fallon Brewery branding on its labels and marketing materials.    "We hand craft our beers, and they hand craft their chocolate," said Jim Gorczyca, owner and president of O’Fallon Brewery. "It was a great opportunity to take our partnership to a new level."  - St. Louis Post Dispatch
