2010 Philip Togni Cabernet Sauvignon...$99.99
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon impresses for its length and total class. Mocha, game, smoke, graphite and plums are all supported by veins of cool, insistent minerality. This isn’t a blockbuster Cabernet, rather it is a wine that impresses for its finesse and precision. Sweet red cherries, mint, pencil shavings and violets are some of the notes that are layered into the super-refined finish. As always, Togni’s Cabernet Sauvignon is distinguished for an extraordinary bouquet that recalls some of the great wines of the Medoc and the structure to age gracefully for years. It will be interesting to see if the 2010 blossoms in bottle. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2040.

2005 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon...$89.99
The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is a huge, powerful wine that is starting to show the very earliest signs of development. An exotic melange of smoke, tar, camphor and licorice leads to expressive, fleshy fruit as the 2005 opens up in the glass. Hints of tobacco, leather, licorice and spices are layered into the finish. This is a gorgeous wine with lovely mid-palate presence and fleshiness. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2035.
Rated 94/100 Wine Advocate

2006 Dunn Howell Mountain
Cabernet Sauvignon...$89.99
The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is big, dark and juicy. There is an element of wildness that runs through the wine. Graphite, licorice, tar and smoke are just some of the nuances that add complexity. The 2006 boasts superb purity from start to finish. Elements of fleshiness give the impression the 2006 might drink well relatively early, until the massive tannins set in. Floral notes add freshness on the finish. This is another fabulous wine from Randy Dunn. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2036.

2010 Coup de Foudre 37.2 Cuvee Napa...$93.99
Balances power and finesse, with aromas of currant and violet that open to rich yet densely packed blackberry, olive and loam flavors. The tight finish of tannins suggests a long life. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best from 2015 through 2021. 350 cases made. –TF
Rated 94/100 The Wine Spectator

2009 Paul Hobbs Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon...$269.99
The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard saturates every corner of the palate with layers after layers of rich dark fruit, mocha, spices and licorice. This is a stunning To Kalon endowed with tons of site-specific character and nuance. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2029.
Rated 97/100 The Wine Advocate

2009 Phelps Insignia Proprietary Red...$166.99
An early look at the 2009 Insignia (83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot and 4% Merlot) suggests they may have hit the trifecta at Joseph Phelps. Perhaps the most forward, precocious and sexy Insignia out of the gate, this wine shows wonderfully sweet tannins, already evolved complexity, an inky/purple color and sweet blackberry and cassis fruit intermixed with lavender, violets and spice box. The wood is already pushed to the background and the wine is stunningly textured as well as long. This was one of the finest 2009s I tasted."

2009 Raymond Generations...$81.99
Shows striking intensity, density, focus and layers of flavor, with tiers of mocha, blackberry, mineral, black licorice and melted chocolate. The finish sails on, retaining focus and persistence. Drink now through 2023. 1,000 cases made. –JL
Rated 95/100 The Wine Spectator

2006 Ridge Monte Bello...$139.99
While it is eclipsed by the brilliance of the 2005, the 2006 Monte Bello (68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc) is a very strong effort. Its dense purple color is followed by copious aromas of creme de cassis, licorice, spice box, and a touch of oak. Well-balanced, dense, pure, layered, and rich, its big, rich style is similar to the 2003. This cuvee should keep for 25-30 years in a cool cellar.
Rated 94+/100 The Wine Advocate

2009 Anderson Conn Valley Reserve....$69.99
The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Reserve is rich, sumptuous and totally gorgeous. Plums, black currants, blackberries, menthol, licorice and sweet herbs jump from the glass as this intense, full-bodied wine shows off its considerable personality. Layers of fruit flow effortlessly as the 2009 continues to open up over time. This is a gorgeous 2009. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029.
Rated 96+/100 The Wine Advocate

2009 Anderson Conn Valley Eloge...$85.99
The 2009 Eloge bursts from the glass with juicy dark cherries, flowers, mint, tobacco, licorice and earthiness. I especially like the immediacy of the fruit here. There is pure plushness and juiciness in the 2009 that is impossible not to love. Black cherries, tobacco, smoke and graphite all wrap around the intense, juicy finish. This is a terrific showing from Todd Anderson and his team. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2029.

Rated 95/100 The Wine Advcocate

2010 Anderson Conn Valley Right Bank...$58.99
Freshly cut flowers, violets, leather and spices jump from the 2010 Proprietary Red Right Bank. There is an element of freshness and vibrancy in the 2010 that is highly appealing. Today, the 2010 is a bit compact, but I expect it will flesh out over time. Hints of leather, licorice, menthol and tar add complexity on the close. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2020.

Rated 94/100 The Wine Advocate

2008 Ramey Pedregal Cabernet Sauvignon...$169.99
The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Pedregal Vineyard brings together all of the elements of the Ramey house style. A beautiful, well-articulate bouquet melds into layers of dark fruit. Clean, vibrant mineral notes give the wine its energy and vitality. This is a typical Oakville Cabernet loaded with class and pedigree. Exotic spiced notes wrap around the textured, multi-dimensional finish. This is a dazzling showing. The 2008 Pedregal is 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Petit Verdot aged for 24 months in 100% new French oak barrels. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2028.

Rated 96+/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Peter Michael Les Pavots...$181.99
The 2010 Les Pavots is a huge, dark wine. Blackberry jam, mocha, chocolate, espresso, savory herbs and new leather all positively explode from the glass. Initially quite exciting, the 2010 loses some of its depth through the mid-palate and finish. Overall, this is a solid showing from the Pavots in a vintage that was far from easy. The blend is 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 14% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025.
Rated 92/100 The Wine Advocate

2009 Vineyard 29 Aida Estate Cabernet Sauvignon...$182.99
The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Aida Estate offers up tar, smoke, minerals, licorice and blackberry jam. Mocha, grilled herbs and spices emerge later, adding considerable complexity and nuance. All the aromas and flavors meld together nicely through to the focused finish. This overt, generous Cabernet should drink well for the next decade or so. The 2009 is 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, 3% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021.

2009 Hundred Acre Vineyard Ark...$279.99
The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Ark Vineyard emerges from a parcel of old, volcanic soils that inform the wine to a significant degree. A vivid kaleidoscope of iron, ash, tar, smoke, crushed rocks and dark red berries take shape as this fabulous, pedigreed wine shows off its considerable personality. A cool, inward wine, the Ark is all about minerality and pure tension as a backdrop for the characteristic Hundred Acre fruit. A huge, mineral-soaked finish rounds things out in style. The 2009 is the rare Hundred Acre wine that is not likely to offer immediate pleasure. It will more than make up for that in the future. I can’t wait to see how this explosive, beguiling Cabernet develops over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029.

2008 Shafer Hillside -- very limited. call 314.727.8788

The estate’s 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select is one of those rare wines that looks like it will be absolutely delicious pretty much at any point in its life. Super-refined and silky, the 2008 caresses the palate with layers of deeply expressive dark fruit. The 2008 is a wine of exceptional textural finesse and pedigree. According to Doug Shafer, cool weather in the spring resulted in small clusters with high skin to juice ratios, always a plus for high quality wines. Today the 2008 does not look like a huge Hillside Select, but is rather a wine built on polish and elegance. It will be interesting to see if the 2008 fills out in bottle, or it remains more restrained in its personality. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2038.

2009 Dominus Red....$175.00 / 750ml net per bottle

The 2009 Dominus flows from the glass with layers of highly expressive fruit. The wine possesses stunning richness, power and depth. Dark red fruit, tobacco, flowers and spices are woven into a seamless, beautifully articulated finish. Elegance and intensity are in perfect harmony here. This is a thrilling wine from Dominus. The blend is 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029.
Rated 97+/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Caymus Special Selection
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection is, big, rich, voluptuous and totally sexy. Mocha, chocolate, plums, sweet spices and black cherries jump from the glass in this full-bodied, intense wine. This is one of the more immediate wines of the vintage, but all the elements are very nicely balanced. Once again Caymus has produced a gorgeous Special Selection that is delicious on its own, but that is also remarkable for a relatively large production of 9,600 cases that will make it easy to find. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025.
