Vanilla Bean Smoked Stout

De Dochter Van de Korenaar Charbon...$10.99 / 22oz
A Superb dry stout with vanilla and smoke notes. Brewed with a portion of Weyermann Oak Smoked Wheat Malt, and whole Madagascar and RĂ©union vanilla beans that have been added twice during the brewing and maturation process, for extra complexity.
This ensures ’Charbon’ is a very pleasantly drinkable dry stout, with an interesting aroma and flavour to treat the real beer enthusiasts.
Dry Stout - Rated 98/100 RateBeer for the style

"Dochter Van De Korenaar Charbon – the newest creation from one of the most inventive and stylistically agnostic brewers in Belgium. Ronald Mengerink’s Charbon in a study in balance. At once extraordinarily drinkable and full of flavor, Charbon is something of a foreign stout – a 7% dark ale of ample roast brewed with smoked malt and vanilla beans. Layers of seemingly contradictory flavors overlap with one another seemlessly, and what we’re left with is a difficult-to-define beer of great complexity and perhaps above all, great quaffability." - The Festival
