The Wine and Cheese Place Barrel Aged Beer Collaboration Series - Update


Barrel Update - Dec 7

Barrel # 1 -  Buffalo Trace Barrel
Bourbon: Sold out already
Barrel: filled with Schlafly Quad for  4 months now.  Waiting for label approval and to taste again.


Barrel #2 -  Knob Creek 9yr Barrel
Bourbon: in stock now - (the first barrel ever sold in St. Louis) 
and selling briskly. 
Barrel:  currently filled with Perennial Heart of Gold Wheat Wine - and ageing since October 6 (two months in barrel now)


Barrel #3 - Elijah Craig 12yr Old
We are proud to bring the first full barrel of Elijah Craig 12 yr old to St. Louis

Bourbon: In stock now at all four locations.
Barrel:  Currently at  Four Hands and should be filled in the next 7 days with Russian Imperial Stout brewed with Goshen Espresso and Whole Vanilla Bean to age.


Barrel #4 - Buffalo Trace
Bourbon:  Should arrive in the next 2 weeks
Barrel: Will be delivered to 2nd Shift Brewing to fill with Cat Spit Stout
Barrel #5 - Buffalo Trace
Bourbon: Should arrive in about 4 weeks
Barrel:  Will be delivered to Charleville to be filled with beer to be determined.  Some great ideas on which beer, stay tuned.  Looks like it will be a new beer for them.
Barrel #6 -- Yet To Be Announced

Kevin Lemp of 4 Hands Brewing Co. has agreed to do the 3rd Collaboration with The Wine and Cheese Place

"Our core line up will include a Centennial Red Ale (Bordering a red IPA), Rye IPA, Oatmeal Brown Ale, and a Blonde ale with Elder Flower." -- Kevin Lemp, 4 Hands Brewing Co.

4 Hands Brewing Company Collaboration with The Wine and Cheese Place
Kevin Lemp of 4 Hands Brewing Co. has decided to age their Bona Fide Imperial Stout in the Elijah Craig 12 Year Old Bourbon.


Here is his take on the Bona Fide Imperial Stout.
"Russian Imperial Stout brewed with Goshen Espresso and Whole Vanilla Bean. We feel the Espresso and Vanilla will play very nicely with the Bourbon and oak" - Kevin Lemp
