2009 Burgundy

Few more in stock now...

2009 Rene LeClerc Bourgogne Rouge....$26.99
Just had a bottle of this gorgeous Pinot Noir tonight. This wine shows you how great this vintage is for Burgundy. Great wine and a great price.
"Tasting note: A perfumed and very pinot nose displays only traces of warm earth that also characterize the round, supple, forward and already accessible flavors that culminate in an attractively delicious and mildly rustic if not overly complex finish." -- Allen Meadows' Burghound

2009 Rene LeClerc Gevrey-Chambertin "Combe Aux Moines" 1er....$77.99
Tasting note: A brooding and almost mute nose allows only glimpses of an earthy mélange of wild red and blue berry fruit aromas that are followed by rich, full and quite serious medium-bodied flavors that possess both good volume and fine length on the balanced if not especially complex finish.
Rated 89-91/100 Allen Meadows' Burghound

2009 Domaine Francois Lamarche Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru...$152.99

Tasting note: Wood spice and pungent earth notes add breadth to the ripe and largely red fruit-based nose. The big, powerful and concentrated flavors possess plenty of sap that helps to buffer the mildly rustic and very firm tannic spine that shapes the driving and energetic finish. This should be excellent in time but it will need plenty of it.
Rated 91-94/100 Allen Meadows' Burghound
