2016 Big Foot Barleywine

Sierra Nevada Big Foot Ale 2016...$9.99 / 4pk
Our cult-classic beast of a barleywine.

Bigfoot is a beast of a beer, brimming with bold flavors of bittersweet malt and heaps of aggressive whole-cone Pacific Northwest hops. First introduced in the winter of 1983, Bigfoot is a cult-classic beer brewed in the barleywine style, meaning a strong, robust, bruiser of a beer with the refined intensity of a wine. Bigfoot is prized by beer collectors for its supreme cellarability. Under the proper conditions, it can age like a fine wine, developing new flavors and character as it matures in the bottle. Each new release or “expedition” is vintage dated. Collect your own and see the flavors develop and progress.

Watermelon Wheat and Pineapple Hefeweizen in CANS

Horny Goat Watermelon Wheat...$8.49 / 6pk CANS
5.6% ABV | 19 IBUs
You asked and we listened. We’re showing our melons! The backbone of this brew is heavy on the wheat with just a touch of Vienna malt for complexity. We add real watermelon to our tanks during fermentation, leaving a fruity essence on the back end. German hops balance the fruit perfectly in this wheat ale for a slightly dry, extremely refreshing finish

Horny Goat Laka Laka Pineapple Hefeweizen...$8.49 / 6pk CANS
A refreshing and unique take on a traditional German style wheat beer. Laka Laka has strong banana and clove notes from the yeast, a soft mouthfeel from the high wheat content in the malt bill and pineapple juice added post-fermentation.

Horny Goat Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter...$9.49 / 6pk

6.5% ABV 55 IBUs
A full bodied porter that gets its dark luscious color from the generous use of roasted malts. You’ll get just the right amount of chocolate and peanut butter to question whether you’re drinking a glass of delicious suds or popping a peanut butter cup in your mouth.

Prairie Artisan Ales Birthday Bomb!....$8.49 / 12oz

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY, BOMB!
May 10, 2016
How do you celebrate a birthday? Cake, check. Requisite folks to eat the cake, check. Fire, check. Wait, fire? What exactly is going on here? Prairie is pleased to announce and celebrate the 3rd birthday of our most popular, well known, and voted most likely to succeed beer we produce, Prairie Bomb! Join our celebration for the beer that changed it all. We did everything but hang up streamers.
What’s the buzz about anyway? Bomb! was a mad creation in response to the many complicated brews that required an interpreter to approach. The path to creating this ultimate beer that never planned on taking itself seriously led to many unexpected revelations. It contained almost every ingredient imaginable. It was difficult. It was delicious. It was a free spirit, complex but lending itself to endless possibilities. It became a much loved member of the family, and a representation of our brewing style and how it has evolved. In its original form Bomb! comes close to being a heady, strong dessert in itself. This led to the conclusion that we had exponential possibilities with flavor profiles and aging processes.
Because of this, Birthday Bomb! was conceived to celebrate three wonderful years of experimentation and fun loving flavors like the current incarnation with caramel sauce. Made in house by our brewers with nothing but black gloves and a propane tank. The rest is the complex mix of hops and malt with a healthy dose of the signature coffee and spices. You know exactly what we’re talking about.
The cake has been cut, the caramel has been dribbled, and we’re ready to celebrate the 3rdbirthday of Prairie Bomb! The beer we love has grown to capture the hearts of the masses. Join us in enjoying the ever changing face of the Bomb! Watch the shelves mid-May for the release of the Birthday Bomb! You’ll be able to find the caramel laden brew in 12oz bottles and sixth barrel kegs. So, grab a handful of cake and a bottle of Birthday Bomb!, and get ready to celebrate another year with a fantastic beer.

Cheers!

New Stiegl Gold Lager

New from Stiegl

Stiegl Gold Lager....$9.49 / 4pk 16oz Cans
Stiegl Gold is mild at the first sip with a full-bodied taste. It delights the palate with its slightly edgy, grainy undertones and typical hoppy notes that linger in the finish. A wonderfully refreshing Salzburg speciality with 12% wort content.
Alcohol content: 4,90% vol

New from Austria - Hirter Beers

New from Austria

Hirter Privat Pils...$10.99 / 6pk
Brewed according to ancient Bohemian recipes and left to mature with a prolonged aging process, the Hirter Privat Pils has a different taste than a typical North German pils.  The soft mountain spring water used for brewing this GMO-free, non-pasteurized and purely natural specialty beer comes from the Hanslbauer spring in the water protection area directly opposite the brewery, underlining the beer’s pure, aromatic hop note and typical taste.  The Hirter Privat Pils is highly fermented, resulting in a naturally slender taste that beer connoisseurs often refer to as “semi-dry”. Slender on the palate, the beer has a harmonious, bittersweet finish. However, the delicately bitter note is never overpowering, but reveals its typically soft character as an integral flavor element. Another characteristic is the mild carbonic acid structure, which ensures optimum flavor.
Alcohol: 5,2 % vol.
Awards:
2012 DLG-GOLD award
2014 DLG-GOLD award

Hirter Morchl Dunkel....$10.99 / 6 pack
The Hirter Morchl is not just a unique brand – its production method also differs from that of other dark beers. The beer’s seductive color is due to the dark brewing malt, hops and caramel malt, while its smooth taste comes from the soft mountain spring water used in the brewing process. Left to mature in a prolonged aging process, it’s GMO-free, non-pasteurized and completely natural. Beer lovers will appreciate its dry maltiness on the palate and pleasantly rounded, faintly bitter finish.
Alcohol: 5,0 % vol.
Awards:
2010 SILVER at the European Beer Star
2012 DLG-GOLD award
2014 DLG-GOLD award

Vallejo "Val" Haraszth
Val's story is pretty unique in the wine business and began six generations ago in Sonoma, CA. Val's two great-great grandfathers are well-known California pioneers and historic Sonoma legends. Mexican General Mariano Vallejo founded Sonoma in 1835 and made wine in the army barracks still located on Sonoma's town square. He was forced at gunpoint to relinquish California to the Bear Flaggers — a self proclaimed and rather nasty group who declared California a republic for themselves on June 14, 1846, the precursor to California of cial statehood 25 days later.

Vallejo (Val) Haraszthy established Haraszthy Family Cellars in 2006. Three distinct
separate wines are produced from grapes grown in Sonoma Valley, Lodi, and Amador
County – the three most preeminent California Zinfandel appellations.

Val’s great-great grandfathers were Mariano Vallejo, who founded Sonoma in 1835, and
Agoston Haraszthy, who is often referred to as “the father of California viticulture.”

Mariano Vallejo was the last of the Mexican governors of Alta (northern) California and
a winemaker in his own right. On June 14, 1846, Vallejo was unceremoniously captured
and arrested at his home by a group of Sonoma settlers intent on seizing the territory for
themselves. Lucky to escape with his life, the group took him prisoner, lowered the
Mexican flag and fashioned their own flag depicting a grizzly bear and a star
commemorating Texas. The uprising subsequently became known as “the bear flag
incident.” The bear on the wine label commemorates this historic California event.

Agoston Haraszthy was a Hungarian immigrant who came to America in the early
1840’s. Apart from his pioneer efforts to establish a world-class wine industry in
California, he holds other important distinctions: he was the first Hungarian to
permanently settle in the United States, founder of one of the earliest towns in Wisconsin,
owner and operator of the first steam boat to engage in regularly scheduled traffic on the
upper Mississippi and founder of California’s first commercial winery. Agoston is
responsible for bringing the first European grapes (vitis vinifera) to California in 1861
and distributing them to local farmers in the Sonoma and Napa Valleys.

The Haraszthy family has lived in Sonoma Valley continuously for six generations. Val
is the winemaker and owner of Haraszthy Family Cellars, which produces approximately eight thousand cases of wine annually.
