New Fondreche

Fans of the Rhone valley - try these!

New 2024 is here!
2024 Domaine de Fondreche Ventoux Blanc...$21.99
Natural Wine and Certified Organic
30% Grenache Blanc, 30% Clairette, 30% Roussanne, 10% Rolle

Green apples, limes and aromatic herbs on the nose. It’s medium-bodied with a stream of minerals in the center that brings plenty of freshness. Textural and precise. A seductive, well-rounded and delicious blend of grenache, clairette, roussanne and rolle (vermentino). From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
Rated 92/100 James Suckling

2022 Domaine de Fondreche Ventoux Rouge...$21.99
60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre

The big black fruit has excellent youthful freshness and the tannins are enough to give this full-bodied Rhone red a very clear line, but are not in the least dominant. A touch of tar and soot add interest to this bold wine. Long, firm finish with a hint of stony character. A cuvee of grenache, syrah and mourvedre from organically grown grapes. Matured in a mix of foudres and eggs. Drink or hold.
Rated 91/100 James Suckling
Ripe red and black fruits, peppery herbs, incense, and some floral notes all emerge from the 2022 Ventoux Domaine, a medium-bodied, supple, perfumed 2022 that has fine tannins and a terrific sense of elegance. It's already drinking nicely but should evolve gracefully for 7-8 years at a minimum.
Rated 91/100 Jeb Dunnuck

Domaine de Fondrèche is not certified biodynamic, but it does practice sustainable and organic viticulture, with many principles aligning closely with biodynamic farming methods.
