HONEST, HEARTFELT WINES MADE NATURALLY
FEWER CHEMICALS, ALL THE PERSONALITY

When grapes are grown not for tonnage but with a healthy, truly whole, finished wine in mind...when one farms in tune with our natural cycles, never fighting against them...when one thinks of soil health as much as fruit quality. Then and only then are we on the path to truly living one of the most cliché phrases in wine today: "wine is made in the vineyard."
2021 Ruth Lewandowski Feints....$21.99
Forget what you think you know about Californian wine. Or maybe even about wine in general. This is pioneering, boundary-pushing stuff and it's the inimitable Evan Lewandowski sailing the ship - alongside a crack team. Sourcing high-quality grapes from a number of vineyards in California, the range of wines is eclectic, but each wine has its own character, and a bit of a cult following. Here we have a co-fermentation of red and white Piedmontese varieties from the Fox Hill Vineyard, which is close to the Russian River. Arneis, Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo, entwined in a carbonic maceration, which spits out this peppy, spicy, juicy, fresh wine that is so drinkable. This particular vintage has a small proportion of fruit from other vineyards, as the 2021 yield was particularly low. Easy breezy cranberry juice and apple skin freshness.
