Recognized as one the foremost producers of boutique vinho verde in Portugal, Quinta do Regueiro is fast becoming synonymous with top shelf avant garde white wines.
Since 1988, Quinta do Regueiro has been using old-school methods to produce some of the most prized Alvarinhos in Portugal. Having started with one single vineyard in the estate's "backyard," today, Quinta do Regueiro is producing approximately 40,000 bottles of Alvarinho (and blends). With a style recognized by few and admired by all, these wines are all about the details...these, begin in the vineyard.

Alvaranhos - known as Albarino in Spain. The wines are generally medium body, medium acid and generally never oaked. Flavors you tend to find in the wines include nectarine, grapefruit, orange, lemon, apple and pineapple. They also have a great floral nose.
Trajadura is white Portuguese wine grape variety grown in Vinho Verde and in Spain (known as Treixadura). It is usually blended in to add some extra complexity and dimension
Mineral and rich profile, with textured, almost candied orange peel. Bright acidity plays beautifully with this extended lees old-school Alvarinho to deliver another angle of this uniquely beautiful grape.

The Alvarinho vines grow in fertile, granitic soils. Although the cool wet weather often hinders the full grape maturation, Quinta do Regueiro continues to train vines in higher pergolas, as traditionally done in the region.
The wine is a combination of two separate lots. The first, is semi-macerated on skins with extended lees contact. The second, is made like the estate's 100% Alvarinho Reserva, with extended battonage. All fermentation is temperature-controlled and in stainless steel.

This mineral aromatic delight bursting with grapefruit, stone fruit, and jasmine notes takes the 100% Alvarinho up a notch. Elegant, with a creamier silkier mouth feel than expected from this varietal, and with enough persistent acidity to lead through any meal.
From the sub-region of Monção and Melgaço, this wine has perfumed fragrant fruitiness with hints of a creamy texture. It is rich and full in the mouth, touched by spice and pepper and likely to age for a while.
