We are mentioning Trappistes Roquefort because we are seeing a new beer from them....should arrive tomorrow!
Rochefort Triple Extra (purple cap, triple, 8.11% ABV).
In 1920, well before the production of the famous Trappist Rochefort 6-8-10 in the 1950s, the monks at Rochefort brewed an extra-strong blonde beer and continued brewing it for several years. Now, 100 years later the monks are very happy to offer a strong blonde beer inspired by the original recipe. Golden Blonde colour, launched in October 2020, first in The Netherlands and later in Belgium. According to the monks, they are still finetuning the recipe before releasing it worldwide

Reddish-brown color with amber-gold highlights; soft body leads to earthy flavors and an herbal character. Refined, soft spiciness in the bouquet finishes with a bit of caramel. Bottle-conditioned for soft natural carbonation. Rochefort Trappist 6 is named after its original gravity measured in “Belgian degrees” – a brewing scale no longer used today. It was first sold to the public in 1953.
