A great Bonarda

Hector Meli - Argentina

Hector Meli is the oldest winery in Tupungato. Grown at more than 3,000 feet above sea level, high in Mendoza’s Uco Valley, the wines offer a purity of fruit, depth, and definition that is unmatched for the price!

Bonarda -- What is this?  It is a grape grown mostly in Italy and Argentina.  Many think it is actually the same grape as Charbono that you find in Caifornia and Washington.   Bonarda was  the most planted grape in Argentina until very recently -- of course, it is Malbec now.

Great Argentine red...

Tasting Notes: Offers plummy, floral aromas, with smooth, polished tannins and a subtle note of oak leading to a long, lingering finish.

Serve With: Enjoy with boldly flavored pizza, pasta or red meat preparations, or a wide range of flavorful stews such as ratatouille or chili
