The whiskey is a blend of straight rye and straight bourbon, anchored by High West’s classic sourced rye mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, alongside straight bourbons with undisclosed mash bills. The component whiskeys are aged several years in new charred American oak barrels before undergoing a secondary maturation in Casa Noble Añejo tequila barrels, introducing an additional layer of complexity without overwhelming the base whiskey. The finishing period integrates subtle agave-derived notes—white pepper, citrus oil, and herbal sweetness—into the rye’s spice and the bourbon’s vanilla, caramel, and oak structure. Bottled as a straight whiskey, The Noble Share highlights controlled barrel finishing as a precision tool, emphasizing balance, texture, and layered aromatics rather than overt tequila influence.
