Great Rose from Bordeaux!
2023 is Delicious!
We under ordered last year and it sold too fast!  Plenty in stock now

2023 Chateau Carbonneau Lulu Bordeaux Rose...$16.99
75% Cabernet Sauvingon and 25% Merlot

The Lulu is all about the fruit and the balance. On the nose, we have a combination of strawberry, peach and citrus. The well balanced acidity of the wine offers great freshness which makes it perfect to drink for brunch, as an aperitif or on its own.  This wine tastes great on its own or when paired with light main courses such as salads, tapas, vegetable tarts, cheeses and grilled meats & seafood.
Unlike for the red wines, to make the rosé, the grapes have to be harvested earlier to keep more acidity and aromatic expression. The grapes, typically used to make deep colored red wines, have to be pressed as soon as picked to separate the skins from the juice in order to produce a pale and crisp rosé. During the fermentation, the juice has to be maintained at low temperatures for the wine to express maximum freshness.

French Malbec!
2020 Chateau Pineraie A&E Cahors....$16.99
85% Malbec - 15% Merlot

As expected from the best terroirs of Cahors, the birthplace of the Malbec grape, the wine is made of a powerful elegance between vanilla and ripe fruit laced with violet floral aromas on the nose as well as peppery spice and roundness on the palate. Dark purple in color with flavors of blueberry, blackberry and cassis surrounded by a nice toasted spice that rounds out the wine. Nice tannins that provide a long finish. This wine pairs best with cassoulet, duck confit, braised game meat,, sausage, grilled venison or lamb chops as well as fattier fish like salmon and poultry with dark meat. In addition to these meat pairings, consider foods with richer sauces and more vibrant flavors.
A&E stands for Anne & Emmanuelle as the sisters had the idea of blending Malbec with Merlot in order to create an elegant wine full of fruit and spices. The grapes are fermented separately before blending and bottling. This is a great representation of what the best grapes from the Southwest of France can do.

Great new Napa Cab!!
2021 Juan Rodriquez Cabrillo Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon...$28.99

80% Cabernet Sauvignon 15% Merlot 5% Petit Verdot
Aromas of brambly raspberry and lavender are layered with barrel notes of vanilla and toffee. Rich black plum and black cherry are at the forefront of a solid core of fruit that coats the palate, while an underlying note of mocha that compliments the bold, firm texture and full body.
Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo was the first European to explore present-day California, navigating along the coast of California in the 1500's. The name adorns many parks, schools, streets and buildings in California and still evokes the excitement of discovery.

2023 Comte de Langeron Coteaux Bourguignons Blanc...$25.99
90% Chardonnay
10% Aligote
Great white Burgundy at a great price!
A blend of Chardonnay and Aligoté of which most is matured in stainless steel. It has a great Burgundy nose with a touch of minerality that comes from the Aligote. Great flavors of tart apples and a steely acidity finishes off this great wine. Highly recommended and very limited production
Nice pale robe, the nose is discreet yet intense with hints of white flower and honey. The wine expresses minerality and length on the palate with a nice balance of acidity on the finish.
This wine is a free blend of the two main white varietals of Burgundy: Chardonnay and Aligoté. The berries are sourced from different parts of the Burgundy region characterized by a large variety of different soils. Both grapes are vinified separately and blended before bottling, which gives them more control on the typicity of this wine.  This is a great aperitif wine but it also pairs well with pasta, cured meats, pork, chicken, rich fish like salmon and tuna as well as soft, mild cheeses.
This appellation, Coteaux Bourguignons, was created in 2011 covers red, white, and rosé wines, grown over four départements. The Coteaux Bourguignons appellation covers wines that can be blended or come from a single varietal, and which can use some more old-fashioned varietals. Production of white is very small from this area and most of them do not leave France.
