The Wine and Cheese Place family is proud to announce their 400th Single Barrel. We wanted something special, and boy do we have one!!

We have been selecting the best single barrels since 2009. Over the past 15 years we have chosen 400 barrels. Our staff has well over 60 years of experience selecting the finest barrels.

Blantons #400 release details
  • Our top 100 TWCP Single barrel supporters over the last 6 months will get a chance to purchase a bottle
  • Then the rest of the bottles will released through a WRC raffle. 
  • Purchases will count through August 3rd for this release
  • First day emails will go out Sunday August 4th

To celebrate we will be tasting some of our single barrels including the Blantons at all of our locations on August 2nd.


You will Taste
  • Blantons TWCP Single Barrel - for tasting only (not for sale that night, each store will have a 375ml bottle to taste out until it is gone)
  • each store will also have 4 other single barrels to taste that night. Selection will vary by store.

Trip down memory lane
Over the years, we have taken some of these empty whiskey barrels and aged all kinds of stuff including Beer, Maple Syrup, Coffee, Vanilla and honey in them

Back in 2011 we released our first Barrel Aged beer. We selected a Buffalo Trace Single Barrel and then took the fresh unwashed barrel to Schlafly and they aged their Quad in it! This is first of its kind done in Missouri and led to others following suit. Many said this is one of the first BA beers in the country done where a retailer buys the bourbon and sends the barrel to a brewery to make a beer exclusively for them.   The rest is history!
