Samaroli Ferry to Islay (bottled 2016) is a tightly composed small-batch blend of Islay single malts, assembled to emphasize phenolic architecture and coastal distillate character rather than individual distillery signatures. Drawn from a limited selection of casks and released at 55.1% ABV, the blend preserves high concentrations of peat-derived phenols, maritime sulfur compounds, and oily texture native to Islay spirits. Maturation prior to blending is managed to balance smoke intensity with oxidative development, allowing sea spray salinity, iodine-driven notes, and char-derived phenolics to integrate without excessive tannic dominance.
