The 2023 Cotes du Rhone Coudoulet de Beaucastel Blanc is a straightforward white wine in the making, evoking a perfumed bouquet of flowers, apricot and ripe orchard fruits mingled with delicate notes of spices. Moderately weighted and enveloping, it’s perfectly balanced with a juicy mid-palate, seamless texture and a long, mouthwatering finish. Crafted from equal parts of Viognier, Marsanne and Bourboulenc.

2023 Perrin Coudoulet de Beaucastel Cotes du Rhone Rouge...$35.99
A solid, focused, juicy and poised wine, showing red berries, sweet spices and dried-flower aromas. Medium-bodied with finely grained tannins. Lovely crushed-strawberry character to the silky texture. Bright and fruit-forward, this has a seductive, succulent finish and a lift of peppercorns. Drink or hold.Rated 93/100 James Suckling
The 2023 Cotes du Rhone Coudoulet de Beaucastel reveals aromas of dark berries, flowers, spices and garrigue, followed by a medium- to full-bodied, round and charming palate framed by velvety tannins. It concludes with a long, fruity and gourmand finish. This is a great vintage for Coudoulet—a blend of 30% Mourvèdre, 30% Grenache Noir, 30% Syrah and 10% Cinsault.

Bottled three months ago and showing beautifully, the 2023 Côtes Du Rhône Coudoulet De Beaucastel is based on 30% each of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre with 10% Cinsault and brought up all in foudre. It offers darker berries, pepper, sappy flowers, and some obvious stony, earth-like minerality in a medium-bodied, nicely concentrated, layered style. It's balanced with terrific purity, ripe tannins, and outstanding length, offering incredible pleasure today, yet it will keep for 10-12 years. Drink 2025-2036.
