Left Hand Fade to Black Foreign Stout

Left Hand Fade to Black Foreign Stout...$11.99 / 6pk 12oz bottles
Fade to Black
3x Gold Medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival. Pours black with licorice, espresso bean, molasses and black cardamom notes.
That time of year when the days grow shorter, and the nights stretch endlessly ahead. Darkness settles in, slow and steady–like a pour of this rich, black stout. With brooding notes of licorice, espresso, molasses, and black cardamom, it’s a bold companion for evenings when the light fades but your thoughts keep pouring.

Foreign Stout
A Foreign Stout (also known as Foreign Export Stout) is a stronger, more robust style of stout originally brewed for export to warmer climates—particularly the Caribbean, West Africa, and parts of Asia.

How It Differs From Other Stouts
Versus Irish Dry Stout (e.g., Guinness Draught):
Foreign stout is stronger, sweeter, and more intense in roast. Dry stouts are leaner and more sessionable at 4–4.5%.

Versus Imperial Stout:
Foreign stout is much lighter and less boozy than imperial stout (which can reach 10–12% ABV), and less complex/oxidative.
