Elijah Craig Ryder Cup 2025 Edition is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV), released in partnership with the 45th Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black. It begins as Elijah Craig Small Batch, distilled from Heaven Hill’s standard bourbon mash bill of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley. The whiskey undergoes a secondary finishing phase using toasted sugar maple and applewood staves—chosen to reference New York’s state tree (sugar maple) and New York City’s nickname, “The Big Apple.” The finishing imparts additional layers of maple sweetness, baked apple, and toasted wood to the spirit’s profile of vanilla, caramel, and spice from its traditional new charred American oak maturation. The result is a balanced bourbon with medium body, integrated oak influence, and a finish marked by light smoke and sweet wood spice.
