2021 Ravenswood Zinfandel Lodi....$14.99
A passionate, full-on Californian Zinfandel from Lodi. Aged in American and French oak for 18 months, it showcases a pronounced bouquet of red and dark berry fruits and sweet coconut. Great purity and concentration on the palate, featuring wood-spiced blackberry and figs, hinted with more coconut, clove and Christmas spices. The rich, sweet dark fruits are supported by soft wood tannins but do not lack freshness (5.6g/l acidity). A heartwarmingly sweet yet well-balanced festive wine.
Rated 90/100 Decanter Magazine
2021 Marietta Roman Zinfandel...$24.99
The 2021 Román Zinfandel is juicy, alluring and easy to drink without sacrificing complexity, offering tremendous quality for its modest price. Blended with 4% Petite Sirah and 4% Barbera, the nose is bursting with kaleidoscopic yellow peaches, strawberries and raspberries plus nuances of sage, aniseed and Angostura bitters. The medium-bodied palate has a finely chalky frame, fireworks of fresh acidity and generous layers of spicy fruit that call you back for another sip.
