Hampden Estate's Distillery Edition: Great House Rum has become one of the most popular and sought-after releases of the year. Each year marks are evaluated and blended to produce an annual release which changes year to year - offering a glimpse into a specific moment of the distillery, never to be found again. Each Great House edition is produced from a mix of raw material, fermented with the ambient wild yeast of the distillery, distilled on double retort pot still, aged in the tropical conditions of the distillery, blended at the distillery, and bottled at high strength with no additives.
Hampden Great House 2023 is the fifth release of the exclusive distillery edition. This bottling is a tribute to the distillery’s Great House, still standing in its original form. Built in 1779 by the Stirling family, the first floor was used for rum storage (barrels waiting to be transferred to port) until the 20th century. Today, it has become the house of representation and reception for guests and visitors. Made from a blend of different marks, this new version of Great House is produced according to a recipe that differs from year to year, and offers the chance to discover this rum in a different light. Its range of mineral notes and flavours enhances its empyreumatic character.

Hampden Estate Rum HLCF Edition....$79.99
  • L.1/22
  • Natural Yeasts100% Pot Still
  • Tropical Aging
  • 120 proof
Founded in 1753 Hampden Estate has been distilling rum for almost three centuries in the Trelawny Parish, historically known as the grand cru of Jamaican rum. In 2010 Hampden Estate started to age their own rum for the first time, opening a new era in the world of spirits. Hampden Estate uses a blend of raw material to create eight different ‘marks’ or identities of liquid. The wash is fermented in open air cedar vats naturally with the ambient yeast of the (original) fermentation room. This incredibly complex wash is distilled solely on double retort pot stills which enhances its dynamic nature and produces an iconic style of rum that has been highly sought after for centuries. HLCF is one of Hampden’s most famous marks and stands for Hampden Light Continental Flavoured. It is considered to be the threshold into the world of high ester rum and refers to a rum with an ester count from 400 to 600 gr/hlpa. This intensely flavorful rum is further bolstered by a powerful 60% alcohol content. It’s strength is commanding but not overpowering - it is at the same time refined, delicate and nuanced.

Hampden Estate One Single Jamaican Rum PAGOS....$79.99
  • 100% Ex-Sherry Cask
  • Pot Still
  • Tropical Aging
  • Ester Content 467,9 gr/hlPA
  • 104 proof
Taking its name from the Spanish word used to describe plots of vineyards in the Jerez area, Hampden Estate Pagos is the first bottling in the distillery’s history to be exclusively aged in sherry casks. This new version of Hampden Estate Pagos was born out of a partnership with the famous Bodegas Fundador in Jerez, around the idea of ageing entirely a Hampden rum in prestigious Oloroso 500-liter Sherry butts, used in the Solera process. These casks, which had contained Oloroso for up to thirty years, were emptied and ready to host the intensity of Hampden rums and were moved to the distillery. The colour, aromas and palate of Pagos are deeply imbibed with the unique notes of Oloroso. In order to respect this perfect synergy with Hampden Estate’s high esters profile, Pagos has been bottled at 52% ABV.
